IV

Last week our group went to Stuttgart to see the ballet „Dornröschen", which was adapted by Walt Disney as „Sleeping Beauty". It was always my favorite as a child, so later when I was older and learned the german tale, I still maintained that it was the best. Better even. Getting to see it performed on stage with all the music I already knew was absolutely amazing. I cannot describe very easily in words what it looked like. On the train home, I spoke with an older woman who had also seen the ballet that night for the third time. She used the words "moving painting", and that is about the most accurate description I could share.

Here are some pictures of me, Katia and Wade on the day of the ballet in Stuttgart. They are on the same program, and also from PSU. We have been spending more time with one another since we have come to Germany. Yesterday Katia left for Stuttgart where she will live and study this year. Last night we and a few others took the train to visit her and see her off. On Tuesday I will finally be leaving and heading for Freiburg.
